We welcome people of all backgrounds and abilities to the choir.
You don’t need to speak Russian.
All song texts are available with translations, transliterations and sheet music, and we go through it all together.
VENUE: The choir meets at a venue between Holborn and Tottenham Court Road. Please se the form below for details and directions to the venue.
SCHEDULE: Thursdays 7.30 – 9.30 pm during term time. There are usually 4 terms a year, each consisting of a block of 10 sessions. We perform 3-4 times a year at major Russian events, festivals and celebrations, as well as at intercultural events with other choirs.
FEES: Taster session £6.00 (students £5.00). Full-term fee (based on £7.50 per session) is £75 (students £55) – pro rata for new members joining part way through a term.
Other things to know:
For your few sessions, we will lend you a folder of the sheet music. Music sheets are normally sent out by email in pdf format, or via a drop box link, though we can print for you as needed (we would just ask for 10p a sheet to cover costs). We ask everyone to use a black folder for performances.
For performances, we like to look coordinated and agree to wear the costume – black tops and bottoms and red sashes. These will be explained at choir sessions prior to a performance and confirmed by email.
To join, please contact choir leader using the form below or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
